Matthias Eder is the Programme Manager for the Nigeria country programme in charge of projects aimed at strengthening interreligious dialogue for peace and conflict resolution in the country. He has more than seven years of experience working in the fields of humanitarian aid, social development, project management, monitoring and evaluation and community action. He previously served as an expert for post-conflict development and Chief Technical Adviser for the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) designing, managing and monitoring a wide range of projects in Africa and Asia. At UNIDO, he was deployed to rural Malawi for four years to oversee a comprehensive rural development programme to improve the livelihood of 25,000 subsistence farmers. Matthias has a master’s degree in advanced international studies from the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna/University of Vienna, and a masters’degree in political science from the University of Vienna.
