KAICIID Programme Officer, Africa Region Malaz Yousif currently serves as programme officer for Africa with KAICIID, focusing specifically on Nigeria and partnerships there. Before assuming this role, she held the position of Project Coordinator for the Interfaith Dialogue on Violent Extremism, known as iDove. In this capacity, she implemented highly successful strategies for engaging young people, which culminated in the establishment of a network of youth peace builders spanning across Africa, Europe, and Asia. Throughout her career, Malaz has demonstrated her dedication to peace building, interfaith dialogue, and the promotion of social cohesion. Her efforts have consistently focused on creating an environment where these individuals can actively contribute to building peace in their communities and at the policy level. One of Malaz’s distinctive qualities is her strong advocacy for the inclusion of youth in IRD and peacebuilding programs. Malaz Yousif holds an MSc in Health Psychology, which she earned from the University of Southampton, and a BA in Psychology from the American University in Cairo.
