Sergios Voilas is a graduate of theology from the University of Athens, MA in Ecumenical Studies from the Institute for Postgraduate Studies, in Chambésy, Geneva, at the Academic Institute in the Orthodox Centre of the Ecumenical Patriarchate/University of Fribourg/University of Geneva.

He is the permanent research associate and project manager of European/International programs at the Interorthodox Centre of the Church of Greece (ICCG).

Sergios is responsible for the collaboration between the Interorthodox Centre of the Church of Greece and the Ecumanical Patriarchate. He deals with matters of cooperation for innovation and exchanging of good practices-strategic partnerships for adult education, while participating and running Erasmus+ KA2, conferences, seminars and relevant actions (authority of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs).

Since 2009 and under the authority of the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs, he organizes the educational seminars and programs of the ICCG for teachers of all grades, concerning and promoting issues of peaceful coexistence among different religions. Sergios Voilas organizes dialogue meetings, conventions, symposiums, seminars, workshops and visits to cultivate a mentality to deal with arousing issues concerning the contemporary multicultural social environment through cooperation and dialogue.

His motto is: promoting issues of interreligious education and highlighting the importance of knowing or figuring out ways and tools to help people understand the religiously and culturally ‘different’ will play a key role in peaceful coexistence.
