Rev. Rizwan
Lecturer at the Pakistan School of Theology
Rizwan is a peace activist, human rights defender, and theology educator, dedicated to fostering understanding, empathy, and tolerance in society. Born and raised in Shantinagar, a renowned Christian village in Pakistan, he witnessed firsthand the devastating effects of religious violence that plagued his community. However, instead of succumbing to despair, Rizwan chose to take action. Holding a degree in Theology and Peace and Conflict Studies, Rizwan embarked on a journey to promote interfaith harmony and peace. He launched a groundbreaking campaign aimed at fostering understanding and cooperation among people of different religious backgrounds. His efforts have earned him numerous accolades and awards for his outstanding contributions to peacebuilding in Pakistan. As a lecturer at the Pakistan School of Theology and Faith Theological Seminary, Rizwan imparts his knowledge and passion for peace to future generations and religious leaders. His teaching interests span the diverse religious landscape of South Asia, as well as the intersection of theology and peace. Beyond the classroom, Rizwan serves as a consultant, trainer, and board member for civil society organizations, sharing his expertise in conflict resolution and interfaith dialogue. Despite the challenges posed by extremism, discrimination, and violence, Rizwan remains steadfast in his vision of a peaceful society.
