Director of Communications for Central America,  The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Guatemala

Karen Rodas graduated from the University of San Carlos in Guatemala with a degree in International Relations. She obtained two master's degrees, the first from the Online Business School Business School and the University of Barcelona in Corporate Communication, and the second in Strategic Marketing and Digital Communication from the EUDE Business School, Madrid, Spain.  In addition, she has studied courses on religious freedom, coaching, project management, leadership, storry-telling, branding, political marketing, research, among others. 

Karen currently serves as the Director of Communications for Central America for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, her main roles are to promote religious freedom and train church leaders in her congregation on interfaith relations and religious freedom. She currently participates in three interfaith groups, Religions for Peace in Guatemala,  We Are United in Guatemala, and the Religious Liberty Roundtable in Panama.

Se graduó en la Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala con la licenciatura en Relaciones Internacionales.  Obtuvo  dos maestráis una en  Comunicación Corporativa con la OBS Business School y la Universidad de Barcelona y la otra Marketing Estratégico y Comunicación Digital con la Escuela EUDE Business School.   Además, ha estudiado cursos sobre libertad religiosa, coaching,  administración de proyectos, liderazgo, storry-telling, branding, marketing político, research, entre otros. 

Karen nació en Guatemala, está casada con Luis Carlos Barrera y tienen un hijo de 16 años. 

Dentro de sus principales roles esta promover la libertad religiosa y capacitar a los líderes eclesiasticos de su congregación sobre las relaciones interreligiosas  y la libertad religiosa. Actualmente participa en 3 grupos interreligiosos,  Religiones por la Paz en Guatemala; Estamos Unidos de Guatemala y la Mesa Redonda de Libertad Religiosa en Panamá.
