Youth Director of the Alliance of Presbyterian and Reformed Churches of Latin America and the Caribbean (AIPRAL), Chile

Emilia currently works with the youth of AIPRAL,by facilitating moments for reflection and creating opportunities for the development of initiatives, strengthening the Latin American and the Caribbean region's network. She is the current Executive Secretary of the Presbytery Norte Grande's Regional Executive Commission of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Chile. In addition, in this presbytery Emilia supports the youth and adolescents as advisor and in charge of social networks. She is also the legal representative of the kindergarten "El Redentor". In her local church Emilia is a Presbyter and is part of the governing body (session).

Emilias has participated in the second and third edition of the Ikumeni Laboratory of Good Ecumenical and Interreligious Practices (2022-2023), and she has also participated in the 5th Ecumenical Day in October 2023 held in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Emilia obtained her bachelor's degree in Industrial Civil Engineering at the Catholic University of the North (UCN), Antofagasta, Chile, and is currently pursuing  her Master of Science at UCN in Industrial Engineering, researching on sustainable leadership. Since 2021 she is a member of the Feminist Collective of Industrial Civil Engineering (Cofici), with whom she has developed and implemented activities with a gender focus, such as a Girls in STEM  camp.

Emilia actualmente trabaja con la juventud de AIPRAL, generando instancias de reflexión y desarrollo de iniciativas, potenciando la red continental. También forma parte de la Comisión Ejecutiva del Presbiterio Norte Grande de la Iglesia Evangélica Presbiteriana en Chile como Secretaria Ejecutiva. Además, en este presbiterio ella apoya a los jóvenes y adolescentes como asesora y encargada de redes sociales. También es Representante Legal del Jardín Infantil “El Redentor”. En su iglesia local ella es presbítero y forma parte del cuerpo gobernante (consistorio).

Ella ha participado en la segunda y tercera edición del Laboratorio de Buenas Prácticas Ecuménicas e Interreligiosas de Ikumeni (2022-2023). También participó en la V Jornada Ecuménica en octubre del 2023 realizada en Sao Paulo, Brasil.

Emilia obtuvo su título de Ingeniera Civil Industrial en la Universidad Católica del Norte, Antofagasta. En esta misma continua su Máster en Ciencias de la Ingeniería Industrial, investigando sobre el liderazgo sostenible. También desde el 2021 forma parte de Cofici, Colectivo Feminista de Ingeniería Civil Industrial, con quienes ha generado instancias con enfoque de género y Campamento de Niñas en STEM.
