Alvaro Santiago Salazar Torres
Alvaro Santiago Salazar Torres has a bachelor’s degree in Sustainable Tourism from the Antonio Ruiz de Montoya University, a diploma in Humanities and Philosophy from the same University and studied the Prevention of Child Abuse at the Centre for Child Protection of the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.
With extensive experience in the area of marketing and administration in postgraduate educational institutions, he is the co-founder of Elefanta Consultores, a company dedicated to marketing and human development of small and medium enterprises.
A member of temporary commitments of the Christian Life Community, CVX Peru, he has been a world representative of the Christian Life Community (CLC) in the Pre-Synod of Youth in Rome. He was a member of the coordinating team of the Youth Frontier of the Latin American Council of CLC, CENAL CVX, as well as an accompanist of the Workshop of Initiation in the Experience of Ignatian Prayer.
He collaborates as a guest columnist in the Signos Magazine of the Bartolomé de las Casas Institute, the Testimonio Magazine of the Institute of Christian Social Studies and the Vocational Magazine of the Archdiocese of Cusco, Peru.
He served as a member of the Inter-institutional Listening Committee for the Ecclesial Assembly of Latin America and the Caribbean organised by the Episcopal Council of Latin America and the Caribbean. Currently, he is a member of the organising team of the civil initiative ‘Palabra de Café,’ Coordinator of the Youth and Volunteers Sub Commission of the pastoral initiative Resucita Perú Ahora, member of the Animation Commission of the Synod of Synodality and Executive Secretary of the Episcopal Commission for Youth and Laity of the Peruvian Episcopal Conference.
