In his long career in religious affairs, Sheikh Alarifi was the former Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in Saudi Arabia, and religious ataché at the Saudi embassies in London and Pretoria, South Africa. In addition to his current position as an advisor to the Minister of Islamic Affairs of Saudi Arabia, he is a member of the Secretariat of the Congress Leaders of World and Traditional Religions since 2019. He has published, delivered papers, and conducted training sessions in the areas of religious diplomacy and interfaith dialogue. Sheikh Alarifi graduated from the University of Kuwait with a degree in Islamic Jurisprudence.
