Founded in 1970, Religions for Peace (RfP) is the world's largest and most representative multi-religious coalition advancing common action among the world's religious communities for peace. The organization works to transform violent conflict, advance human development, promote just and harmonious societies and protect the earth. The global Religions for Peace network comprises a World Council of senior religious leaders from all regions of the world; six regional inter-religious bodies and more than ninety national ones; and the Global Women of Faith Network and Global Interfaith Youth Network.

KAICIID began its partnership with RfP in 2012, supporting the Multireligious Collaboration for the Common Good - a five-year programme which equipped, engaged and mobilized faith leaders, congregations, faith-based institutions, interreligious councils and individual believers across diverse faiths to improve the survival and well-being of millions of under-five children across the world. This collaboration evolved into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in 2013.

Over the years, KAICIID has partnered with RfP on a number of initiatives – from promoting the meaningful participation of women and youth in interreligious dialogue in Myanmar, to organizing expert consultations and master classes on hate speech in Europe, to jointly supporting the launch of the Centre’s Latin America Fellows cohort.

In 2021, KAICIID signed a new MoU with RfP, which signifies the dedication of both institutions to strengthen mutual understanding, tolerance, respect and social cohesion, ultimately contributing to a culture of peace.
