Muhaimin Abdul
Dr. Muhaimin is the Head of the Department of Islamic and Religious Studies at the University of Haripur, Pakistan, and the Founding Chairman of the Society for Peace and Conflict Management. He has 21 years of teaching and research experience. His work focuses on social and religious harmony, as the mission statement of his organization is to eliminate all forms of racial, ethnic, linguistic, political and religious bigotry through peace, love, respect, tolerance and culture.
Dr. Muhaimin has organized more than two hundred programs on peaceful co-existence, religious harmony, interfaith and intrafaith dialogue, acceptance and tolerance. As a project director, he has arranged twelve workshops for madrassa teachers and students from diverse schools of thought. The trainings focused on learning and development, self-awareness as a teacher, critical thinking, classroom management, conflict resolution and diversity, and human rights. As a master trainer, he has arranged a number of workshops for teachers, police officers, government officials, doctors, journalists and many others. Dr. Muhaimin has been nominated for two international awards and has received three national awards. His motto is, “The best way to serve God is to serve His creatures.”
