More than 50 worshippers were killed and several dozens were wounded after an explosion hit the Khalifa Sahib mosque in Kabul, Afghanistan on the last Friday in the month of Ramadan.
In response to the attack, the KAICIID Board of Directors issued the following statement:
“We grieve the loss of more than 50 worshippers who were gathered for Friday prayers at the Khalifa Sahib mosque. We express our deepest sympathies to the families of those who lost their lives or have been injured.
We strongly condemn this act of terror against civilians who should have been able to pray and worship in peace. Attacks on worshippers around the world need to stop immediately.”
