Originally from Turkey, Atilla Kus is the current Secretary General of the Islamic and Interreligious Dialogue Centre in Brazil. He works closely with Religions for Peace Latin America and the Caribbean in Brazil as a member of the youth branch. He is the author of numerous articles on interreligious dialogue in Islam and of the book "The Constitution of Medina: reflections on interreligious dialogue from an Islamic perspective". Atilla has a PhD and Master's degree in Science of Religion from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP), and he is also a member of the the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo's Centre for the Study of Alternative Religions of Eastern Origin in Brazil (CERAL). In addition, Kus is also a member of the University University of São Paulo's (USP) Group of Anthropology in Arab and Islamic Contexts (GRACIAS). He is a columnist for Dialogues of Faith blog for a Brazilian weekly news magazine, CartaCapital.


Atilla Kus trabaja actualmente como Secretario General del Centro Islámico y para el Diálogo Interreligioso de Brasil. Mantiene una estrecha colaboración con las representaciones de Religiones por la Paz en América Latina y en Brasil como miembro de la rama juvenil. Es autor de numerosos artículos sobre el diálogo interreligioso en el Islam y del libro La Constitución de Medina: reflexiones sobre el diálogo interreligioso desde la perspectiva islámica. Doctorando y máster en ciencia de la religión por la Pontificia Universidad Católica de São Paulo-PUC/SP. Miembro del Centro de Estudios de Religiones Alternativas de Origen Oriental en Brasil-CERAL de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de São Paulo y del Grupo de Antropología en Contextos Árabes e Islámicos-GRACIAS de la Universidad de São Paulo-USP. Es columnista del blog Diálogos da Fé de la revista CartaCapital.
