Director of community engagement and educational projects at Rabbis for Human Rights

Rabbi Lana Zilberman Soloway, born in Moscow, emigrated to Israel at the age of eight. Grew up in Netanya. Lana holds a BA in East Asian Culture from the Hebrew University, BMus in Piano Performance and Voice from the Jerusalem Music Academy, MA in Professional Jewish Studies from the Spertus Institute in Chicago and a Rabbinic ordination from the Shalom Hartman Institute. 

In the last fifteen years Lana has been working in the field of informal Jewish Education, as an educator and tour guide, group leader, lecturer, and facilitator, in Israel, Europe, and the US. In addition to the above, Lana led an inter-faith Beit Midrash at the Hebrew University and a Tour Guide training program for the ministry of Tourism. 

In the summer of 2014, Lana participated in an International summer program for religious leaders at the Cambridge University, UK – "Scriptural Reasoning". Since then, she has been involved in many peace and inter-faith dialogue initiatives. 

Currently, in addition to teaching and guiding, Lana holds a position as the Director of community engagement and educational projects at Rabbis for Human Rights. She lives in Jerusalem, with her husband Daniel and their three children.
