Lecturer at the Methodist University of Indonesia

Rev. Apriani Magdalena Sibarani is an alumna of STT GMI Bandar Baru (Methodist Theological Seminary) and holds a master's degree in Theological Studies from Duta Wacana Christian University. Apriani was ordained in 2008 as a pastor of the Indonesian Methodist Church and serves as the coordinator of women's and children's ministry. Since 2013 she is a lecturer on religion and ethics at the Faculty of Economics, Indonesian Methodist University.

In addition, she also teaches at the Methodist Theological Seminary (STT GMI Bandar Baru) and coordinates female students at the Seminary.

Apriani was also a fellow at the Australia Awards Indonesia in the Leadership for Senior Multi-faith Women Leaders program in 2021. She became part of the curriculum team for Bible study books for women fellowship and together with several interfaith friends wrote a book on religious moderation in Indonesia. Apart from that, she has also written several books with the theme of peace in the context of religious diversity in Indonesia.
