Ligia Elena is from Pérez Zeledón in Costa Rica. She studied business administration and accounting and is currently finishing her studies in International Business. Since a young age she has collaborated with the Youth Ministry, coordinating processes at the parish, diocesan, national and the Mexico-Central America region levels. She is part of the Latin American Youth Ministry team and has collaborated with the Synod of Bishops on youth, faith and vocational discernment. Since 2019 she has co-chaired the Latin American and Caribbean Youth Network of Religions for Peace and is part of the International Youth Committee. She loves working with young people and believes that they have a fundamental role in the construction of a ‘Civilization of Love’, building bridges that will bring us closer and allow us to walk side-by-side.
