Prof. Beantpal Singh Khalsa
Prof. Beantpal Singh Khalsa has worked as a creative and writer for Mexican and North American film, television, press and advertising enterprises. Also a poet, musician, university professor, yoga and meditation teacher, he is interested in how creativity, mindfulness, spirituality, writing and music can interact as a form of healing, devotion, well-being and peacebuilding.
With a bachelor's degree in Latin American Literature from the Ibero-American University, he received the Government of India's ITEC Scholarship to study at SVYASA Yoga University, Bangalore and the Rostro Negroâ Award for his Creative and Teaching Inspiration by Mexico's Communication University.
As member of the Sikh Dharma of Mexico and the National Association of Teachers of Kundalini Yoga, he has created, developed and taught communal and educational programmes for social cohesion and spiritual counselling. He represents the Sikh Dharma of Mexico at the Mexican Interreligious Council (CIM), Religions For Peace Latin America and Caribbean and participated at the 10th World Assembly of Religions for Peace, in Lindau, Germany.
