Prof. Adewale Olukayode Ogunrinade
Prof. Adewale Olukayode Ogunrinade is a university academic and has been a professor of Religious Studies for more than 16 years – teaching, supervising academic research and examining master and doctoral works. He has worked in areas such as church history, African indigenous Christianity, indigenous Pentecostalism, religious dialogue and interfaith relationships. He has published articles and contributed to books in the areas of Christianity and church history. He has also participated in dialogues, especially among students, religious leaders and adherents, which has spurred contemplations about how human thoughts could influence perceptions about peace, politics and leadership. He identified that dialogue is key in reducing the friction of crisis in any multi-religious societies.
Research on intrareligious relationships in select church denominations in a Nigerian metropolis led him to conclude that problems associated with interreligious dialogue exist in every religion. His interests include volunteering and engaging in discourses towards problem-solving.
