Imam Shefiu Abdulkareem Majemu is the Founder and Co-Executive Director of the Strength in Diversity Development Centre, and the Interreligious Coalition Against Corruption in Nigeria. He is the Chief Imam of The Islamic Platform Society of Nigeria and has an MA in Communication and Development Studies from the Lagos State University, Ojo and is a PhD research Fellow at the same University.

He has contributed greatly to the field of Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue in Nigeria – co-founding the Interreligious Coalition Against Corruption to mobilize interfaith action against impunity and corruption and the Interfaith Partnership for Sustainable Development in Nigeria.

He is a member of the Network for Religious and Traditional Peacemakers, in Washington DC, the Partnership for Religion and Development (PaRD), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), United States Roundtable on Religious Freedom or Belief (FRoB) in Nigeria and the Interfaith Dialogue Forum for Peace (IDFP), a KAICIID initiative in Nigeria.

Imam Shefiu Abdulkareem Majemu is currently helping to build the capacity of religious leaders from Nigeria on Interreligious Dialogue with the Alamana Centre in Muscat, Oman and Rose Castle Foundation in the UK. He launched a national TV programme called the ‘Interfaith Platform Dialogue Programme’ to foster interfaith understanding, dialogue and reconciliation among the Jewish, Christian and Muslim communities in Nigeria.
