Sometimes you Win, Sometimes you Learn

Maha Assiri was born in Abha, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. After finishing her BA in English Literature at PNU in Riyadh 2004, and her MA in Comparative Literature at Cairo University in 2008, she worked as a Lecturer in KAU (Jeddah) for one year. She decided to have a shift in her career and studied MA in International Communication and Diplomacy at East Anglia University (UK) in 2014. Maha became a Diplomat in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia in 2015. She believes education is the gate to new horizons, and cultural diversity is the key to it. She studied more than 37 courses in various diplomatic areas, trained with German Federal Foreign Office for 2 months in 2020, and trained a lot with the UN and DPPA. She has been an appointed Professional Officer in Political Affairs at OIC since July 2019. She merged her love for Education and Diplomacy in training University Students to be Ambassadors. Youth are the future, so it is important to pass our experience to them and set an example of how to live in harmony, respect humanity, be open to all people and accept differences.
