Professor at Al Azhar University

Dr. Anwaar Mohammed Othman Kataia is a distinguished professor of Faith and Philosophy at Al-Azhar University, where she obtained her PhD with a thesis titled "Religious Pluralism in Perspectives of Christian Thought and the Position of Islamic Thought on It". She is an expert in Islamic studies, religious dialogue, peacemaking, religious pluralism, combating violent extremism and hate speech, youth rehabilitation, debate management, community work, and youth leadership training.

With over twelve years of experience in the development of NGOs, Dr. Kataia is a certified trainer from the British Tony Blair Foundation - Injaz Egypt, and she has established numerous initiatives and dialogue development projects, such as the "Al-Azhar Ambassadors - Peace Industry and Community Dialogue," "Together Mutual Dialogue and Acceptance of the Others," "Dialogue and Citizenship Forum," "Preparing Azhary Leaders," and "Confronting Gender-Based Violence."

SHe has chaired and participated in various international workshops, conferences, and lectures, such as "Together to Confront Extremism and Promote Dialogue," "Living Together in Peace towards Building Cohesive Societies," and "Coexistence, Tolerance, and Acceptance of the Other, Towards a Better Future," held by the League of Arab States, UNESCO, and the Al-Azhar Dialogue.

Dr. Kataia is a consultant for the development of NGOs institutions and has lectured in many faculties of Al-Azhar University, as well as training camps for 3000 faculty members on topics such as managing social networking sites to reach the public, managing teamwork, establishing initiatives, academic research skills, learning through the Internet, teaching skills through the Internet, and preparing Azhar leaders.

She is also the general coordinator of the dialogue meeting "Dialogue of Peace and Tranquility," organized by Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and the Franciscan Order in Egypt, and the host of an online podcast called "Presenting and Managing the Dialogue," which discusses all issues of society and the state, with over half a million viewers.

Dr. Kataia's research contributions include a booklet written with the League of Arab States and UNESCO, titled "Together to Confront Extremism and Promote Dialogue," and a report for the Abrahamic Media Center, titled "Women are Man's Partners in Leadership." She graduated from the first batch of the African Summer School 2063 from the African Youth Union.
